Metallica, Kid Rock, STP, Pearl Jam, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, and Ozzy are the guys who I claim to be my main influences in my "Rock" Lyrics. The influence is evident in these songs. And by the way, Korn and Limp Bizkit are not rock, Korn is industrial and Limp is well....gay.
Are You The One--It doesn't have the same sound exactly but it has the same vibe as "Interstate Love Song" by the Stone Temple Pilots. Can't Complain--This is sung like Kid Rock does his music but it gives off an "I Just Want You" feel. (If you know your music than you know what song I'm talking about.) Car Song--Can you say Sammy Haggar, if so, can you scream "I can't drive, 55!"? Kerosine Kandle--First off I know Candle is spelled with a "C" but I used the "K" for effect purposes. This one has a "Fade to Black" type feel to it, or maybe closer to "One" definitely mellow Metallica though. Just Give Me an Open Road--This has the same sort of feel to it as Eve6's "Open Road Song" back before they decided to cover a John Denver song and suck. How To Drown--This one gives off a Floydian vibe but sounds sorta like "Stitches" by Orgy, yes I know Orgy sucks but it was on the radio when I was writing it. Simon Says--This song attacks the popular people of the world, not all of them just the totally stupid ones that follow trends for the sake of being trendy.
